Left 4 dead comes wirth several different game modes. These are Multiplayer, co-op and single player modes. as well as 4-on-4 Versus mode, Zombies vs. Survivors.

In single player you take controll of one of the survivors and the other three are controlled by AI. You then play through any one ofg the four movie's and attempt to make it to the end with out the AI controlled infected managing to eat your brains.

This mode is almost exactly the same as single player except the other survivors are controlled by your friends and as a well oiled machine you grind up zombies untill you manage to get your selves rescued

In this mode the game becomes truely outstanding as this is four on four team play. Of the two teams one side will play the survivors first and the other team plays as the Special Infected. The survivors still are trying to make it through the level but now they have thinking cor-ordinated attacking infected determined to stop them. Once a team makes it safely to the end of the level or is devoured by the hungry zombies they teams then switch roles and play the same level again. Each teams efforts are arwarded points ro things such as distance travelled number of survivors and so on. The aim of course is to acumulate more points than the opposing team by the end of the ianl level.

In this mode the four survivors find themselves battling wae after wae of infected as they attempt to stay alive as long as they can. There are steam achievements for each level of survival. This is a fun and thrilling mode but defantly not an easy one to conquer.
